Kathmandu - Pokhara - Annapurna Base Camp

200 km west of Kathmandu, near the little city of Pokhara, lies the  Annapurna range, a chain of mountains with it's highest peak, the Annapurna I with an altitude of 8091 m. This area is known as the entrance to' the throne room of the gods', and one of the most remarkable places on earth.
